Health Kits for Disaster Relief

Chebeague Island United Methodist Church’s youth are preparing Health Kits for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). The Health Kits will be shipped to UMCOR and will be provided to people forced out of their homes by natural disaster or human conflict. The youth in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School have set a goal of creating 50 Health Kits by August 16, 2019

Each kit includes a hand towel, wash cloth, comb, metal nail clipper, bath-size soap (no Ivory or Jergen's soap), toothbrush and ten adhesive bandages.

Two dollars per kit will be donated so that toothpaste may be purchased by UMCOR to add to each kit and for shipping.

Donations of any of the above items can be dropped off at the Chebeague United Methodist Church (CUMC) Parish House or in the CUMC Church narthex. Donated funds can be made to the Chebeague United Methodist Church (please note “Health Kits” in the memo).
